Bob Simi - Executive Director
Bob Simi joined the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center as executive director in October 2014 and brings more than 25 years of organizational leadership experience in public, private and not-for-profit organizations. He previously worked as a vice president in the commercial construction industry. A former United States Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, Bob has also served at every level of government from the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Congress and Wisconsin Senate to local communities.
"Bob's ability to build relationships has been an important factor in his career and will help advance MRMC's status as Southeast Wisconsin's only academic medical center," said Cathy Jacobson, Froedtert Health president and CEO.
In his role, Bob leads the efforts to further define the vision and future of the MRMC campus through partnerships with local and regional businesses, government leaders and health organizations.
The six MRMC member organizations include Froedtert Health, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Medical College of Wisconsin, Curative Care, Blood Center of Wisconsin and Milwaukee County DHHS Behavioral Health Division.
Bob earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Public Administration degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Bob Mlynarek, Vice President of Finance
As Vice President of Finance, Bob Mlynarek brings more than 28 years of health care industry finance and accounting leadership experience to the position. Bob has served MRMC since March 2014 in roles of interim finance director and interim executive director. In his position as vice president of finance, he is responsible for all budget and finance issues associated with Flight For Life and MRMC Corporate.
Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Marquette University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Mark Geronime, PE - Vice President of Operations
Mark Geronime joined the MRMC executive team in 2016 as vice president of operations after completing a notable 25-year career in the United States Navy.
A native of Rosemount, Minnesota, Mark graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and was commissioned through Navy ROTC in May 1991. After nuclear-power school, Mark served on a nuclear-powered submarine, then transferred to the Navy's Civil Engineer Corps where he completed multiple tours of duty around the nation and world. Mark's duties included command responsibility and his last position was as Commanding Officer of Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest, where he provided oversight for four bases and other naval facilities in 11 states.
Mark also holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is a Certified Energy manager, a registered Professional Engineer (Oregon) and completed the Executive Development Program at Wharton School of Business in 2012.
Mark's primary focus of responsibility for MRMC includes MRMC Thermal (overall design, construction and operations), which heats and cools most of the campus buildings, as well as accountability for growing campus operations.
Sheri Schmit, PE - Vice President of Transportation & Parking Services
Joining MRMC in November 2019, Sheri is responsible for overall planning, management and operation of Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) for the campus.
Her focus is to lead planning, programming, finances, demand and utilization analysis and compliance for parking, transit services, Travel Demand Management (TDM) programs and circulation systems. In this role, Sheri coordinates planning and analysis for TAPS facilities projects and programs, conforming to standards and requirements set forth in the campus master plan. Sheri also works with campus staff, local and regional planners, and consultants to develop short-and long-term transportation planning for the campus and represents MRMC in local and regional transportation planning projects.
Sheri is extraordinarily qualified to lead this effort, completing a notable 35-year career with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), the last five years of whch she led projects as Deputy Director of the Southeast Region for the Division of Transportation System Development. During her tenure with WisDOT, she played an instrumental role in a number of key inter-governmental and public and private initiatives.
Sheri holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University and has also achieved Professional Engineer licensure from the State of Wisconsin.
Sheri and her husband, Joe, live in Pewaukee. Their two children attend college at Carroll and Marquette Universities.
Dan Burns - Executive Director, Flight For Life
Dan Burns was appointed executive director of Flight For Life in July 2017. Dan's strong clinical care background as well as his significant experience in leading large organization operations and measurable successes in the private sector make him an ideal candidate for leading Flight For Life into the future.
For 10 years, from 1991–2001, Dan served as the program director for Flight For Life. He then served in clinical leadership roles as director of emergency and trauma services and critical care services from 2001–2009. For the last seven years he has served in a variety of leadership roles in the private sector, specifically in and around product management. Dan is a registered nurse and earned his bachelor's degree in management from Ottawa University and his Master in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Alfred Stucki - Director of Finance
Alfred Stucki joined MRMC as the director of finance in August 2015. Alfred has been involved in healthcare finance and accounting for more than 24 years in a broad range of activities including hospital, home care and hospice, medical equipment and infusion services.
Originally from Utah, Alfred received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Utah and later passed the CPA exam. As a member of the Healthcare Financial Managers Association, Alfred continues to stay informed about the frequent changes in healthcare.
Nick Burns - Director of Information Technology
Nick Burns has spent the last 10 years with MRMC, integrating technology to enhance organizational performance and outcomes. Having spent the last 12 years as a technologist in health care, Nick has coupled his personal passion for technology with a formal education in business administration and operations management from Marquette University.
As the MRMC and Flight For Life Director of IT, Nick spends his time at the intersection of business and technology, ensuring the enablement technology provides can be harnessed for the greater good of this organization's success.
Debbie Endres - Executive Assistant
Debbie Endres joined Milwaukee Regional Medical Center in March 2013 to support the executive director and management team with an administrative and project focus, both at MRMC and Flight For Life.
She comes to us with experience spanning a variety of industries, including health care, and enjoys implementing process and functional improvements.
Debbie also enjoys recording internal and external voiceover projects and was the voice of the Zoo Interchange Hotline for MRMC.
