Emergency Ride Home Program Eligibility

If you're an MRMC employee currently making a sustainable commute trip (walking, biking, transit or carpooling to work) you're eligible for two emergency rides home per quarter!

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

  • Eligibility:  must be employees of Children's Wisconsin, Froedtert, Medical College of Wisconsin, Versiti, and Curative.
  • Employees must have a CommuteWISE account and join an MRMC organization network to be eligible (see link above).  
  • Eligible employees may request two emergency rides per quarter, up to $35 in value per ride.
  • Employees must commute by carpool, vanpool, bike or walk on the day the ride is requested.
VALID REASONS FOR USE
  • Illness or severe crisis of participant or immediate family member
  • When your carpool/vanpool partners have an emergency
  • Unscheduled overtime
  • Anyone driving or who is a passenger in a carpool/vanpool may use an ERH trip if they are incapable of driving themselves home
INVALID REASONS FOR USE
  • Personal errands or appointments
  • Business-related travel
  • Working late without supervisor approval
  • Injury on the job
  • Early departure due to inclement weather or utility failure
Tips and gratuities are not included.  If you would like to tip the driver, you would do so yourself.

Any inappropriate use of the service would require you to reimburse all expenses incurred.
